Here is the second painting I created after doing this class.  I used a picture I recently took in my neighborhood--I live 28 miles outside of New York City- Deer roam around and have sometimes taken a rest on the front lawn of my condo :) I wish they could experience the more serene setting in the woods where Kristina has taken us in this class. I always say a prayer that they will be safe from harm (speeding cars).  I loved painting this one and think I am now addicted to layering and creating interesting textures thanks to Kristina and her method.  All my Paint colors were mixed with Winsor and Newton Gouache in all the primary colors plus white, purple and Naples Yellow. 

 

 

 

 

 

I loved working on this piece and throughly enjoyed Kristina's wonderful class.  I will try to do more sketchbook pages using the techniques she so beautifully demonstrates.  This is my first try and I got completely carried away in adding all the details after putting down my base.  I discovered some new ways of layering that I will definitely bring into my work.  Thank you Kristina for this lovely class.  The images you shared are absolutely beautiful.  How lucky you are to live in such an inspiring place!
