You should be happy! I like the looseness of your painting! Its very subtle and delicate. I especially love the right side of the owls face. Almost looks like a moon.

Lovely work Janice. My only comment would be to see if you can balance the dark you have under the left wing (which is very effective) by getting the same dark in a couple of other spots - so a touch of that under the right wing where your tone isn't as strong - it doesn't have to be that whole area, just a small bit starting stronger hard on the edge where the chest hits the wing and then blending out into the slightly lighter tone. That might be enough to balance it up. If not, you could also put just a touch more on the shadow behind the right wing where it touches the tail, but you might not need that. Beautiful face.

He’s wonderful Janice. The way his spots blend into his feathers, the shadowing under his right wing, and that beautiful pinkish tone you created on his face. I can imagine him swooping down to capture his next meal. A tidbit that was shared with me that I remind myself of while I’m creating. Imperfections add to our art and make each piece unique. Once something is perfect, it is beyond further creativity or change and where would the fun be in that? ….. :):):)
