Once we’ve gone over the theory and tips, it’s time to loosen up with warm-up sketches.Brought a few warm-up sketches into the layout stage. I’m focusing on how the characters lead the eye through the scene, placing the kites to keep things balanced and dynamic before getting into the line work.
Then I’m jumping into color and details, starting with one character first before moving on to the other two. After that, I’ll design the kites using reference images for shape and style.
