Wow Carmen. This is new to me.. using a heat gun. This process seems intriguing. Love the layering. Looks like something to play around with and have fun.

Yes give it a try. I am sure better results can be achieved with patience!

This is fascinating to me how your have dried some areas to get deeper values and transparent layering. I like the unique colors of your flowers.  Your didnt even soften those edges with a brush. They remain clearly defined but not heavy. I really like what you've done here, Carmen.

Thank you Kris. I may revisit this type of creation later on. I am sure different paints and paper would allow more variations.

This is really beautiful, Carmen. I love how you used the heat gun to move the paint and create those soft but defined edges. You can really see that contrast between the flowing areas and the places where the paint started to settle and form those harder edges. That’s exactly what this technique is all about. Your color choices are also so nice here. The indigo and olive green work beautifully together, and you let them blend and separate in a really natural way. And you’re absolutely right, this one looks simple, but it takes practice. There’s a balance between guiding the paint and letting it do its own thing, especially with the heat gun involved. It’s not about control as much as learning how to work with the movement. You’re doing exactly what you should be doing, experimenting and playing with it. That’s how this technique really starts to click. I always enjoy seeing your work. Thank you so much for sharing this one.

Carmen, good on you for both. Yes, the blue are lovely, but I like prefer the colors on the others. Maybe the other ones need foliage, stems or tear/cut ‘em up and make a collage??? Regardless, I so admire your work. --Judy

I especially like the blue florals! This sounds like  really intriguing idea!

Not as easy as it seems. Just tried some indigo and olive green DS paints.
I did some tests too but they ugly! I tried adding some pencil marks as experiment. Not sure what paper this was.
