Flower studies on toned paper

This was my first try with the clematis flower
I realized that my spacing was a bit off so I had to improvise a bit but I'm happy with how it turned out.
This was my second try with the hawthorn. Really interesting shapes on the leaves, something I hadn't noticed before. Here I took more care in the placement which I am glad I did with this delicate flower.
Here you can see both of my projects together and the materials I used. I used white calligraphy, the ink had dried out a bit so It was quite thick and then I used Ecoline Brunsh pen number 440. I didn't want to use black for this so I chose this deep brown color instead.
