Flow Playground

Flow Playground - student project

I oftentimes paint these "watercolor playgrounds" when I'm eager to do something that's entirely *whatever I want. My first shapes were the blue half-circles, and the final touches were with a small brush and markers.

What I love most about creating these pieces is the element of surprise. You navigate your way to a finished piece! These paintings have gone from being mindless fun to designs used as corporate office decor and fabric collections

I used some of my favorite--and usual--colors. (Dr. Ph. Martin's Radiant Saturated: Slate Blue, Tangerine Red, Yellow Orange. I also used Posca Paint markers on top in red and light blue.
