I skipped to the thistle project in order to create a birthday card for a friend - and now I can’t wait to do the other projects. I could not help adding: some graphite powder for the heavy lines/shaded area; some tinted charcoal to leaves and for the background under the Latin name of this flower; and my beloved gold that almost always gets added to projects. UPDATED: floral stem also made a great card, I made five because - why not? Tried some Derwent drawing pencils for the leaves on a couple of them… soft color but the drawing pencils are thick and soft, hard to vary the shading. Love making the flowers with my petal brush.
