Question - I used some cotton cord that was really thin (just had some in the house). How do you estimate the amount of cord a project might need?

As I was chugging along, I realized that I wouldn't have enough to make a nice pointed end like your example, but it I made longer strands - mine were 48" long and then doubled over, 24" roughly. A thicker cord would have probably worked better.
