The information in this class was incredibly useful for me since I'm starting out fresh in the freelance world. My biggest mountain to climb as far as finances go at the moment is figuring out what to charge for my services. A quick google search led me to a website where I thought I was going to get quotes from local services, but I guess putting in my zip code wasn't going to stop driven companies from out of state to contact me! My phone has been blowing up with messages from individuals asking for more information on my "project". But it has helped me figure out what people are charging for similar services that I will be offering.

I don't know anyone personally in the graphic design industry, but thankfully I have very supportive coworkers at my current full-time job; not only do I already have jobs lined up for them (I've been mostly working on a "pay what you can" basis with them, with the agreement that I can use it for building my portfolio).
