Preliminary sketches

It took a few tries to land on a concept I really wanted to got with, and could reasonably finish. The first idea was over 50 words so a bit of refinement was needed.

This was the concept I decided to go with. I knew I wanted something dense and angular. The quote is from one of my all-time favorite games, Bloodborne.

Here's where I straight up cheated and used Illustrator to lay out my piece. Everything is very geometric so I'd like to think if I drew the guides I'd end up with a fairly similar result. You can see the where I tried some different layouts and shapes on the ends of the strokes.
