<p>Hello, Lea! I completely understand what you mean. What I'd advise you do to help you align the drawing of eyes,  is drawing a vertical line and trying to position their construction evenly. That bit helped me a lot. With time and practice you'll get so used to it, to a point you'll even forget you had difficulties with positioning.
