I had so much fun exploring color, shape, and mark making as I got more and more inspired by the work of Alma Thomas.

And here's where I took it deeper and sketched out shapes, then explored color ideas, and finally how the marks would be orientated and what colors they'd be in relation to the solid color backgrounds.
