Everyone Can Draw Holidays

I loved this class and I think I learned a lot.  I timed taking Fatih's No Effort Travel class right before a long weekend trip and I brought along precut pieces of watercolor paper, a fine-liner pen, a set ofwatercolors, a paintbrush and a tupperware to hold water.

I learned to sketch quickly in the continuous line techniques and I would do two or three sketches at a go and then paint them later.

I learned (as I went along) that the brighter the colors, the better and I didn't worry about shadows and shading etc.

I learned that it is possible to sketch in a moving car.

I learned that it is possible to do continuous line sketches of people (I will be taking Fatih's class on No Effort People Sketching next.)

I learned that I can be very proud of my wonky sketches and I don't have to labor over them.

If the viewer can tell that we saw a mountain, or spent time with some people or visited a church, who cares if the mountain looks like every other mountain, or the people drawings look nothing like the people, or the church can only be recognized by the cross on top.  It's fine and I know what I was trying to draw!

Thank you for the inspiration, Fatih!
