Embellishing Loose Watercolor Floral Shapes

Embellishing Loose Watercolor Floral Shapes - student project

This was such a fun exercise!

I was watching the class on the couch, so I grabbed a post-it to sketch some embellishment ideas that I liked.  I really enjoyed the Mini Pictures, the dots, and the letters.

I had this little watercolor in my sketchbook; just waiting for this class!

I decided to use a black fine liner and some gel pens.  I incorporated the lollipop shapes into the flowers, added dots and lines, etc.  My favorite part of this illustration may be the barely ther green vines in the background.

And, I couldn’t resist adding a bit of white Sharpie paint pen.

Thanks for the fun, Chris.  I enjoyed seeing you create, and learned a lot!

Happy Painting,

Jessica
