I work in the hotel industry and creating cut-through for smaller, independent hotels is a challenge so I'm working on compelling storytelling and streamlining my often lengthy emails when pitching to journalists - hitting the right note between grabbing attention and providing too much detail..

 

Here is my pitch email sample as a first attempt.

 

Dear Stefan,

I've been following Hotel Insider and appreciated your recent articles on luxury hospitality and the development of Dutch hotels in emerging cities. 

I would like to invite you to the upcoming launch of the city of Arnhem's first five star hotel, Hotel Haarhuis, which perfectly exemplifies new definitions of Dutch luxury stays. Hotel Haarhuis was our first Crafted collection property to launch in the Netherlands and focuses on exemplary design, locally-sourced gastronomy in their LOCALS restaurant, and they recently underwent significant renovations to launch their five star quality meeting spaces, entertainment and guest rooms.

There will be a press launch party on the 10th April at Hotel Haarhuis, and they also welcome media stays for journalists to experience Dutch luxury first hand.
