I had a lot of fun making this! I didn’t go as neutral with the color palette as the video, but wanted to explore the feeling of dread we face with climate change and global news encroaching on what we hold dear. 

I had a lot of trouble getting pastel to stick to my paper - if I put down one color it would push the previous one away rather than blending if I didn’t rub each layer in with my finger oils. But eventually I figured it out some!
