This class reminded me of the drawing classes I used to do in college and inspired me to try my hand at some dotwork again. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I definitely forgot how long it takes! I don't know why I decided to start with the incredibly complicated strawberry but here goes...

I took a photo in case the lighting changed.

Then started with my sketch...

 

Then i decided to use the photo I took and change it to black and white to help with the shadows and highlights.

This is my Trace, which took aggggges to finish the dotwork, but was definitely fun!

 

 

and then I scanned the imaged in and nudged up the contrast. I like the slightly more graphic look once taken into Illustrator.
