Disco Bloom Pin Collection

Hi, my name is Monica, I'm from Costa Rica, nice to meet you all.

I was working on a pattern collection with this theme on the past few days, so I thought to use some of the spot illustrations for this pin mockup project. The idea was for it to look like soft enamel pin, with gold metal.

First, I vectorized the illustrations from Procreate by using image trace, I already had the fill and outlines on two different layers.

Then I imported them using the process showed in the class, for example, using a smart layer for the outlines and another one for the fills, which I applied the effects to and then copied into the other layers for second and third pin.

I got the background from Pexels (Thank you Em Hopper). I used Photoshop Content Aware Fill to make it into a larger image but keeping the glitter proportional. I also used a Postcard mockup for the pin paper base. Lastly, I made the background big enough to make it look like a closeup, and used a tilted shift blur to get the effect of the close picture with main focus on the pin.

I'm happy with the results of this project, and I feel like it showcases the skills learned in my particular colorful style. Hope this is helpful for others.

Thank you for the class, hope you like my project!
