This class was really helpful for inspiring me to include more landscapes in my journal -- the "zoom out" view! I tend to focus on the "zoom in" and paint leaves, flowers, mushrooms, but having an overall capture of the landscape where those plants live is a great idea! My page includes a scene from eastern WA state where we hiked around Umatilla Rock, marveling at all the desert wildflowers and showy milkweed. It's a place we just reserved a campsite at for next summer, so I'll be sure to look for landscape overviews to include in my journal from our upcoming trip! And, I will work on adding poetry to my pages, too -- I love this idea! I'm so glad I heard about your class, Marley, from the Journaling with Nature podcast! I'll be sure to check out your landscape class as well.
