Decided to go for a Daiquiri and as the twist I swapped out the simple syrup for another sweetener, ended on cherries. More specifically on Luxardo maraschino liqueur. Swapped it 1-1 even thought the syrup is 32%, I liked it, but then again I like my drinks strong. Perhaps the syrup from a jar of cocktail cherries would be more of a fit for most.
