Dagger brush practice

Dagger brush practice - image 1 - student project

Thank you Nadine. Another super fun class.

I am very grateful to you for the exercise, because I rarely use the Dagger. He's a bit scary with his long hair and the pile of water he holds. But he's quite easy to handle. The only thing I still have problems with is leaf shapes. I still don't really understand the swing that the hand has to exert and when I have to think about it, the result looks strange. The practice is missing. It's easier for me to just indicate shapes and I really enjoy waiting that second for the color to mix, wonderful under the roof of the pagoda. It's more difficult to go in a second time and intensify the darkness. Less is more. Too little is also bad.

If I extend the line, it looks as if the pagoda is on a mountain above a sea of fog.
