For my project, I built a custom After Effects plugin using ChatGPT that makes working with textures fast and convenient.

 

Here’s what it does:

• Add Fracta lNoise Texture – instantly applies fractal noise as a texture.

• Add Cell Pattern Texture – adds a cell pattern texture effect.

• Add Roughen Edges Texture – roughens the edges for a more organic look.

• Delete Texture Effect – removes only the texture effects (Fractal Noise, Cell Pattern, Roughen Edges) while leaving all other effects on the layer untouched.

 

What makes this plugin powerful is the selective delete function. Normally, if you try to remove effects, you risk deleting everything on the layer. With this tool, only the textures are removed—saving time and keeping your workflow clean.

 

At first, I thought building this would be complicated because ChatGPT sometimes requires back-and-forth, but the process turned out surprisingly smooth.
