Introduction to the context of her father's government (Alberto Fujimori)

Keiko Fujimori is one of the daughters of former President of Peru, Alberto Fujimori, who governed for 10 years (July 28, 1990 – November 21, 2000). After a failed attempt at reelection and following the exposure of bribery videos involving him and his main accomplice in crime, Vladimiro Montesinos, bribing top politicians and influential businessmen of the time, which ultimately led to his downfall, Keiko and her siblings lived abroad during her father's period as a fugitive from justice. They completed their higher education and pursued various personal projects during this time.

At the tender age of 15 (in 1990), Keiko witnessed closely the criminal activities of her father. Rumors of corruption permeated the early years of his government, spanning various levels of the Peruvian state's structure. These activities included the buying off of politicians and key military figures crucial for maintaining state power. Later, there was interference with different media outlets and newspapers, which gradually succumbed to bribery, threats, and even abrupt and abusive releases orchestrated by Fujimori's forces.

Exposed from such a young age to the manifestations of power through corruption, Keiko was seduced by it. She learned how to control and corrupt the will of others, realizing that everyone has a price and that even those who resisted corruption could be suppressed, censored, or even disappeared by the power of money and corrupt police and military forces. In her view, everyone could be a victim, and no one could do anything to stop it. This, in my opinion, altered Keiko's neural structure to the extent that she could only see one way of doing things in life, and that was through corruption and the abuse of power.

After more than a decade, Keiko returned to Peru to pursue a career in politics. Despite many Peruvians remembering her father, Alberto, as corrupt, many still held affection and preference for him (due to psychological reasons and resistance to a new system, especially among those aged 40 and above). She successfully secured a position as a congresswoman in the Peruvian state and founded her political party, mainly comprised of supporters of her father's government and its promises of power based on corruption.

Personality and current corruption-related events

Throughout her life, Keiko Fujimori has shown a complete lack of remorse for her father's actions, going as far as to claim that such acts never occurred, and if they did, they were actually contrary to what the press says. This clearly indicates a distortion of reality and a complete avoidance of feeling guilty for corruption, which has been thoroughly documented in national and international trials, suggesting a narcissistic personality devoid of empathy or guilt, readily lying when questioned about it.

It is noteworthy how, in different presidential campaigns (three so far), she has been capable of lying in public, to the media, and in practically every interview. Since her return to Peru, she has engaged in numerous fundraising activities that actually conceal unregistered income, indicating ongoing illicit activities. Apparently, she doesn't even see anything wrong with these activities, as for her, corruption is normal.

Her desire to reach the presidency lacks any political or governmental motivation but rather aims at having power for the sake of power and reliving the experiences of her youth, enjoying the power that corruption provides.

, she remains embroiled in corruption cases, money laundering, fraud trials, bribery, and other criminal activities. She has never admitted guilt, shown signs of remorse, or displayed any indication of wanting to change course in her life. It could be said that for her, people are merely instruments to be used to achieve power, and any means necessary are justified, regardless of the consequences.
