Chose to paint some Cosmo flowers because I love how they look, they make me happy. Didn't plan at all, so I realized afterwards that those tiny leaves an multiple stems were there to test my pulse, accuracy and patience :P

The one on the right is the Improv WoD watery version. The one on the left is the Planned WoW thick version.

My favorite? the one on the right. To be honest, I think I like a combination of both. Gouache is such a tricky medium for me, but I love it ('it´s complicated' kinda relationship) I feel more comfortable with watery improvised as WoW and a planned, thick version for a graphic look on WoD.

One thing I still can't manage to do is smooth backgrounds (unless it can be painted in a couple of strokes swiftly) Maybe thicker paint can do the trick.

 

It was nice to paint along! ..almost, it took me waaaaay more time than the class, hehe, but it was fun! I hope I can catch one of these Skillshare streams some day :D
