This is my first bookbinding project, a six signature coptic bound notebook. I repurposed an old risograph printed calendar page for the cover, screenprinting offcuts for the inside covers and then I printed dot grid pages for the interior. 

Each year I buy a calendar from http://risottostudio.com/ They're so lovely that I can't bring myself to discard them at the end of the year. I'm delighted to discover that a page is the perfect size to cover two A5 recycled greyboard sheets. I didn't have linen thread available so I waxed some coral embroidery thread for the binding. For the pages, I created a grid of dots in Canva and printed them on my home inkjet printer. In hindisight, I think I made the dot grid a little too tight.

Ido Agassi's course is wonderful - he explains things so calmly and clearly. I also love listening to the birds in the background - it's a wonderfully peaceful project. It's not perfect, but I'm really pleased with the result. I think I'll make one for each month!
