Consistency is Key - student project

1/15/2024: I'm making a commitment to meditate most days over the next 30 days using the handouts provided in this class. I'll come back and update every so often to keep myself accountable. The best time of day for me to meditate is after dinner/shower, but I can do breathing exercises during my work day and the 5,4,3,2,1 mindfulness practice during my lunch hour walk. A mantra I recite to myself throughout the workday is, "Slow Down, Remain Calm, Be Mindful." I'm looking forward to finally making meditation a consistent part of my life!

1/16/2024: Guided Progressive Muscle Relaxation Meditation

1/17/2024: Morning Mantra Meditation, "I am capable of difficult things."

Evening: Mantra Meditation, "I embrace my individuality and become my authentic self."

1/18/2024: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Mindfulness Practice during my lunch hour walk at the park (photo above). 5 things I saw: water, trees, 2 geese, a plane in the sky, a heron; 4 things I felt – a breeze, the sun on my skin, cold fingers, the ground under my feet; 3 things I heard; two geese calling, the wind blowing, a pine cone hitting the ground; 2 things I smelled; the dank water, mud; 1 thing I tasted – spiciness from the tea I drank.
