I found this really tricky but it was fun to explore a new way of doing things. I don't think I have got seeing the values down yet, but as a first try by someone who absolutely cannot draw people I am really surprised at how much using the grid technique really helped. Messed up my pomegranate sketch because I attempted blend mode in Procreate which diluted instead of adding more colour...whoops! That will teach me to listen. It looks more like an Christmas bauble. If I had more patience and less time constraints I would have done a better job on my portrait. One thing that would definitely of helped is knowing what brush Riso used. I couldn't find one I really liked.
