My printer is out of ink, so I had to freehand my sketch. I played with the colors a tiny bit, but I was a little timid on deviating too far from the demonstration. I really enjoyed it though, and I may try again with another color palette now that I have one completed. I also experimented a little bit with the background and did a faint texture/salt wash along with the splashes. I'm not sure if it adds anything, but I wanted to see what would happen. :-D

I was so surprised with painting the tree branch, it felt totally wrong the whole time I worked on it then suddenly became a believable branch. Magic!
