Color Theory Candle Class

Great class filled with excellent information. Each time I watch one of your classes and you talk about color theory, I retain a little more information. I didn’t use my better arches paper, and I noticed it dried much quicker, but overall the projects were small enough all worked out. Since I had the three colors you used, and I have never used my Cotman Turquoise, I decided to use the same colors. I’ve been working with my own color selection palette for a time now so thought it would be nice to see how other primary colors work together. I really like the Turquoise and will remember this color in the future. Yellow is still the hardest color to work with as it seems to dry very quick especially on less expensive paper, and I wasn’t as successful at making a rich dark purple from the red and blue (bottom of candle). This was a fun project and even though it was a great exercise class, I will probably use the candle painting as one of my Christmas card selections this year. (Didn’t make cards last year, but plan to this year).
