Collage Sketchbook Challenge

Day 1- Patchwork Grid

This is my go-to layout when I don't know where to start. Put one piece down and fill the rectangle space with collage paper! It's kind of the "quilt-as-you-go" technique if you work with fabric!Collage Sketchbook Challenge - image 1 - student project

Day 2- Grid + White Space

Explore what happens when you use white space and the possibilities that if offers! You can erase your pencils lines after you are finished.

 Day 3- Cluster
This is a fun way to start a collage, I love layering with tissue paper and play the transparency.

Day 4- Organic shapes and negative space

I love creating little stone stacks and make them off balance a little to keep everybody on their toes! :)

Day 5- Thinking Outside the Box

Now we mix it all together, in the box, outside the box, clustering, organic shapes and loose grids.

Et voilà! I can't wait to see what you make. :)
