well done Charlotte! That's a wonderful mug ! So "vintage"! I love it! I notice the light is a bit difficult to see with the shadows. You might want to put it near a window or artificial light to make it stronger? Further on make sure to draw the bottom of the mug with the same curve as the opening on top. I posted a new video in the course (video number 9 I think) where I explain in an example how to draw a cup. Thank you for sharing your great work. Don't hesitate to post other paintings

I see the splashes are very small. Maybe you could (if you like splashes) give it a try with a bigger brush. Also best splashes are made with a brush with natural hair.
I also like how brown color of the coffee in the cup flows into the shadow inside the cup

Oh a bigger brush, thank you I’ll try, I was frustrated by my micro splashes the brown in the shadow was an accident but a happy one

In watercolor are often happy accidents!!! I advise also to add some bigger green splashes, because grey and brown splashes can quickly seem "dirty" ;) You can try to erase the small splashes with a damp synthetic brush and clean water

[EDIT] I’m quite happy with my third try ! The drawing was better thanks to your new videos Barbara, and the shadow is better too ! I’ve learned so much, thanks again !
