I wanted to sketch something closer to home. This is Queen Anne Square in Newport, Rhode Island in springtime. The cherry blossoms and daffodils are in bloom. I used a student set of watercolor pencils, but the pigment was so weak, I added watercolor paint. This was a fun way to sketch. I just have to try some better pencils.
