Chameleon in vibrant watercolor colors

Chameleon on Windsor Newton fine cold press with Derwent inktense watercolor paint When I look at our Chameleon paintings I can see how we all love pattern. Yael Krel ( in our Will class)  did an exceptional job of this paterning technique. I wanted to share some art they reminded me of from Mexico. It is called Huichol yarn painting and is a type of folkart. It employs brilliant colors of yarn and stunning patternwork. I have always loved the huichol paintings of Luis Casto pictured here with one of his detailed pieces of art.
