Wow. I had never heard about chain stitch before this class. There is something incredibly satisfying about this thread art. The color options, the waxing of thread, the boldness of the stitch -- It all speaks to me.    I immediately ordered supplies and started practicing on different fabrics. That helped me understand the stitch, a decide where to start. 

 

I was so happy to have a little chain stitch under my belt. I chain stitched these simple tags with our for  our stockings

I also made these stockings this year with the sewing skills I have been working on.
