Café Project and Isometric Drawing Practice

I used this course to learn the basics of drawing Isometric buildings. I personally love the style of Isometric art. I also think it will be a very useful illustration style that I can take into other projects, particularly in my career capacity as an illustrator and animator for educational content. I think they will be very effective as part of maps and infographics.

I followed along with the course, documenting my progress and creating basic isometric shapes that constructed more complicated structures.

I then followed the final tutorial on creating a fully realized shop building complete with signage, windows and awnings.

During this course I have learned the full 3D capabilities of Ai. I have worked in Illustrator for years creating vector illustrations but have never explored outside of the 2D illustrative capabilities of the software.

I then just had some fun styling the building. I broke down some of the 3D effect constructed shapes as I wanted to explore creating flatter, less highly rendered facades.
