Cafe Hopping in Georgetown, Penang.

Hey guys! I am currently in Penang, Malaysia doing some cafe and street photography. This morning I stumbled upon this incredibly beautiful cafe right in the heart of Georgetown, Penang. Built in a very old historical building, this cafe bridges the gap between modern design and classic architecture. It's beautiful.
The light in this place is insane. So perfectly beautiful. The way it reflects off of the crumbling dark blue walls and deep brown wooden floors makes it perfect for shooting moody cafe shots, and that's exactly what I did.
Here are some of the photos I shot this morning:
A few things to take note of when looking at these shots:
- The diversity of shots (Close-up detail, wide interior,
- The way lighting is used (back-lit, front-lit, side-lit, high contrast)
- Composition (rule-of-thirds, subject in center)
- Editing and color scheme (desaturated, cold, flat blacks, vintage look)
