My first attempt at the 'bubbles' was during a break from work in my travel sketchbook.

I think the fact I was on a time limit is reflected in the design, as my lines aren't as smooth as the could. I hate how they look.

I tried these both again in my main art journal (yes, I messed up with the spacing of my first title, so I tried to run with it). I am still not happy with them.

So a month later I tried again, leaning more into what I've seen my style becoming. First sketching it out in pencil.

Going over it with several different Sakura fineliners to alter the line thickness.

Before filling in certain spaces with black to make the bubbles stand out from each other. There's several mistakes in the piece, but I'm so much happier with how it turned out.

I've also tried added some colours.
