Wow! 🙂 You did a fantastic job here, Jen. I love the idea of illustrating based on a live feed. It turned out to be a very interesting streetscape with all those diverse body gestures. Also, your shading is just great. I think the legs are just fine. I didn't mention this, but illustrating the walking process was a big challenge in this class. And you've passed it with ease. The legs' positions seem absolutely natural to me. Very nice lettering at the top left. Actually, I liked MC Hammer in the 80's. I loved those dance moves. So, those pants are okay with me. 🙂 Thank you so much for your positive review again, Jen. And FYI, I'm in the process of making another class specifically for people in urban sketching. So, there is more to come in figure drawing... with a touch of watercolor this time.

Thanks Tamas! I feel such encouragement from reading your comment ... the legs were starting to drive me nuts! I was able to use the stick figures to figure out the leg position (for the most part), but as soon I added the clothing and the shading it would always fall apart.  Another good place to go "people watching" is Google Street View, if you go to a larger city.  I'll see you at your next class - All the best Jen

Oh, I see. Then extra appreciation to you, Jen. Legs' position is very tough. There is proportion, they have to be in sync, you have to place the parts into perspective, there are infinite number of viewing angle, etc. I can imagine your struggle. But finally, you managed it well. This is something that we need to practice a lot. Pause the life feed in a good position, observe what you see, make a quick sketch, then move on to the next one. I found a live cam from Dublin this morning, and did some sketches. It was fun. It's a good daily practice if you're in that mood. Thanks for the other good idea regarding Street View. 🙂

These folks came from a live camera feed of Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana (US). I kept making the legs really weird: everybody looked like they were weraring MC Hammer pants.  (!!!) I need a lot of practice!
