Blue Anemone

An outline sketch of my suggestion of an anemone was my starting point.

I used a carving block for my stamp.

I started out using a brayer to apply the acrylic paint on the stamp but the brayer rolled more paint off than what managed to stay applied on the stamp. Instead, I found a paintbrush did a better job however it was messy and caused some overprinting outside the lines of the design. I will fix that later. I cut out my drawing of the flower and used it as a mask when I started printing.

To finish off the design, I added fine liner flowers and shadows along with some texture dots in yellow paint as well as black fine liner. To further clean up the flowers I added more shadows with colored pencils. It was fun to try out different techniques to make a more pleasing design.
