For this class I submited a 9X12 inch cold-press watercolor painting. I loooove bees, so for this class I began with a lot of excitement. Early on, I noticed myself becoming a bit too careful, which kept me from getting the free, loose base layers I wanted. But as the painting developed, I relaxed and really enjoyed adding the background, splashing a bit onto the bee, and bringing in touches of red‑orange ink. Those final steps felt playful and rewarding.
