Beautiful Yellow Rose in watercolor

Wow!  This was a great adventure.  It was quite difficult for me and I really need more practice with each technique used in this class.  I still have a hard time following my sketch which leads to painting over highlighted areas.  I did manage to do the scrubbing pretty good on this one though.  I have a tendency to paint heavy and darker and that might be because I end up going back quite a bit to touch things up.  I loved not using the masking fluid and painting the background in sections.  This was much easier for me but was still a challenge.  This took me about 3 committed days to complete.  I painted it on 9x12 arches and did have all the paint colors demonstrated.  All good things come with practice and so much fun in the process.

Thanks again Chris for another wonderful class and taking so much time putting this one together with all the many helpful color mixing, glazing tips.  It was super helpful and you are right, yellow is a more difficult pigment to work with.
