Limited colour palette exercise after the inspiring Laurie Ann Gonzalez. Loved watching this class and her other classes

Three Colours:
Cerulean Blue Hue, Cadmium Yellow Light, Burnt Umber,

Black & White:
Carbon Black and Titanium White

I didn't really think through the composition and wished I had repositioned the main Palm tree a touch further on the right....lesson learnt for the next one!

After hearing how Laurie Anne created a beautiful olive colour by mixing yellow and black together, I couldn't wait to see how my Cad Yellow Light would behave in the company of the Carbon Black. To my surprise, the result was an awesome khaki colour! I like the organic look and feel you get as soon as you add a touch of black to your mix. 

My kitchen table setup....the plastic tablecloth is a saver!
