I followed the 3 insect idea, but wanted to be a bit more realistic. I looked at some vintage moth illustrations for guidance and chose a soft autumnal color palette. Once I finished the moths I felt like it should be nighttime, so I added a layer of watercolor and erased out the moths since I really wanted to keep the texture of the watercolor paper.now it kind of looks like a moth family portrait, but that was an accident
