Associations

For this example project, I used the association method from the class to generate ideas and explore how different concepts can connect.

I started by writing a few words and simple ideas on a piece of paper and then building associations from them. From there, I continued expanding the list by connecting new words and thoughts that came to mind. This process helps the brain move naturally from one idea to another, which often leads to unexpected and creative results.

For this exercise, I intentionally used pen and paper instead of a device. Turning ideas into something physical makes the process feel more natural and helps you think more freely. It also makes it easier to sketch connections between ideas and quickly expand your thinking.

The goal here wasn’t to create a perfect idea. Instead, it was simply to practice the process of generating ideas through association and see where the thinking naturally leads.

I encourage you to try the same approach: start with a few simple words, build associations, and keep expanding the list. You might be surprised by how quickly new ideas start appearing once you begin the process.
