Art Nouveau Style Illustration

I absolutely loved this class. Liz packed so many learning opportunities into this one class, it took me a while to complete. But I am so glad that I stuck with it and finally completed it.

I started with practicing some sketching from some resource books that Liz provided. It was so enjoyable to draw these that I had to make myself move on to the projects.

These are some of my practice sketches taken from the resource books.

The first project was this symmetrical design. I used the daisies from my practice sketches as inspiration.

The 2nd project, I took inspiration from Lily of the Valley. I played around with several color choices until finally deciding on this color palette. I am trying not to always think so literal in my color choices.

I really feel in love with the 3rd project which uses overlapping elements. I definitely what to do more of these. I also created my own vine repeating pattern brush using the instructions that Liz gave. You can see this in the background.

Finally, the last project was extremely rewarding and so much fun. I decided to use swans because they are so graceful.

Liz, thank you for such a great Skillshare class. I learned so much and can't wait to continue using these techniques and ideas.
