Thank you so much, Carrie, for the new mockup! While I’ve been working with mockups for a while, I found your insights quite useful.
Here are my two cents:

I find it easier to locate the right layer by right-clicking on the object and checking the pop-up window to see where my layer is—it’s usually something like 'Design: xxx' or 'Color: xxx.'

Alternatively, I use the search by name in the layers panel.

To make my mockups look a bit different, I sometimes flip the image or crop it in a different way. I also use cropping when I can’t create a cohesive scene (e.g., if I don’t have a complete collection) and need to feature only a couple of products, like just pillows and part of a sofa.
