"Art Check-In"s

First of all, thank you for a great class, Ewa! I truly appreciate hearing some of these motivating factors to make art.

I'm excited to return to creating art daily. I also now realize it's not necessarily about going "all in" or all at once on developing an art piece (unless I feel up to it that day) but rather about developing those small building blocks that will help me create bigger pieces.

Currently, I'm still trying to develop my art style and working on finding what subject matter that I feel most joyful to illustrate - usually I stick to floral mandalas and animals, although I've been trying some still life objects as well.

Below is a picture of my workspace from preparing my daily art canvases for the next few weeks... I used alcohol markers on some and gouache on others for the base colors.

I also made the canvases trading card size because I have a small transportable trading card binder with those plastic protectors that can hold the mini canvases, plus a small pencil case with black and a selection of colored micron pens!

I'm going to be calling my daily art-making my "art check-in"s. I'm excited to see what comes out of this practice!

Thank you again!!!
