First of all, I would place an LED strip light or slot lights behind the mirror.
In turn, I would place ambient lights integrated into the ceiling and eliminate the directed spot lights.

Then I would place a small diffused lamp on the table near the sofa as a task light.

Another option would be to place cove lights in each cubicle of the back furniture to add drama to the environment. 

Finally, I would place a task light from the ceiling down vertically for the plant and eliminate the light inside the pot.
