Airbrush Palettes

I had a bunch of different colours that I had bought with my set of airbrush paints about half were opaque and half translucent. I experimented with colour wheels that were all opaque colours but I tried to do one at the end with one opaque colour and two translucent. The one with an opaque (sky blue) and two translucent (rose and pale yellow) turned out to be my favourite.

Normally, I paint objects that I have printed using either one of my 3D printers (resin and filament) but I didn't have anything ready for painting. Instead, I decided to draw on canvas with my airbrush a few planted flowers. All the colours were made with the sky blue, rose, and yellow palette with the exception of the black outline. I made the purple with 2 parts rose and 1 part sky blue. I made the red with 3 parts rose and 1 part yellow. The green was made with 4 parts yellow and 1 part blue. I made an orange from 3 parts yellow and 1 part rose then add a few bits of blue to try and make it more brown as it head toward a chroma grey. I am not so sure I understood the chroma grey part too well though so really I guess it was fitting that I used the colour for the dirty as I think I mixed mud. ;)Airbrush Palettes - image 2 - student project
