A house is not a home when there's no one there... - student project

Thanks for this wonderful class! I really enjoyed making the house.

I have to admit I did the sketching while the kids were playing so it got a bit messy. The little roof above the window went off-perspective and I didn't use a ruler where I probably should have.

I added thicker lines slightly with an extra layer of micron fineliner. I didn't want to mess with my pointed pen and ink while the kids were running around. Next time I'll try using that because that's my preferred method of line drawings.

I got an image from pinterest and changed a few parts.

1. sketch

2. more details

4. thicker lines

5. watercolor!

I didn't take pictures during this process. I enjoyed being 'logged off' and unplugged for the day.

I used 2 colors with some mixes of those two colors and a hint of brown to get to the colorscheme.

I'm really looking forward to making more!
